Khiel's Oil Free Product Range

For this post I want to talk about my experience helping my friend Adil to find for him a suitable facecream.

When we are not aware of what it's good for our face, of course, we are totally lost because so many brands, so many products, so many packages and of course so many prices !!😯

In general Adil is the type of guy who is aware about skincare products. He reads articles on the internet, follows blogs and tries several products existing on the market. Hence with his background our hunting for a good cream was more fun.

Passing through the beautiful streets and stores of Valencia, I realized a difference men have when choosing their products. Actually they don’t mind using and reading about women products. So was Adil not bothered to choose for a womens product as long as it had a neutral perfume. We would never choose for a guys product, don’t we?.

Eventually, we know that men lines are very focused on packaging. The well-known dark blue colour, black colour they have but at the end the result is the same. Obviously, the perfume is less present with a lighter texture, less rich in oil.

Nevertheless the men's skin is totally different than women's skin: There have more sebaceous gland, so more sebum, which give them more imperfections, causing oily skin. Also, it is thicker than a women's skin (20 % thicker).
In general their skin ages less faster than women's skin. However, they have to be careful where they are more sensitive for the appearance of wrinkles.

Guys who want a healthy skin please clean your face every day and scrub the skin 2 times a week.
 
I interviewed Adil, to know more abouta guys skin:

What are you looking when chosing your face cream? 

"1. I like to know about the history of the brand (how lang they are on the market)
2. I always need to try the product before buying it. I prefer to test it on my face and see how it reacts for several hours. Thanks they give us testers J
3.The perfume must not be strong.
4. The texture has to be fresh, nice and easy to apply. I don't like the sticky texture.
5. I prefer an effect in short term such as radiance and healthy glow, during the application.
6. I dont really look for a cheap product or an expensive one. If it is a good product I can spend around 40 euros for a moisturising cream."

Why do you need a Face Cream?

 "I have a Combination/Oily skin. The shine on my face that bothers me a lot. For years I struggled a lot with acne, I started to use creams very early.

My first product for my face was Nivea Soft skin care. I had to stop quickly because it gave me pimples. Then I started with several luxury brands but after a few weeks of using, I was not getting the results that I needed. Or it was not hydrating enough or it was too shiny."

What are your favourites products?

"I like ClarinsMen Face Wash because it takes out pimples and imperfection. I also love the Masque Chauffant de Garnier which cleans the pores toroughly and takes off the shine on my face. It helped me so much for the T-zone. It helps me so much for the T-zone. This cream gives energy to my skin.

Also, If we talk about a good cream I would say : : High Recharge - Biotherm Homme de Biotherm. It gives energy to my skin. I also prefer to not stick to one skin product. I like to try other product!

I also use a body cream from La Roche-Posay Iso-Urea Lait Lissant which helps me for Exzema, and nourrish my elbows as soon as I feel them dry."


So what brand did you choose today and why?

"In Belgium, I heard a lot about the brand Khiel's so I decided to have a look at their store in the city centre of Valencia. I have to say their concept is really nice. Not only, their store was attractive to me but also the beauty advisor knew what she was talking about. I knew what I wanted but it is also very reassuring to have advices from the representant of the brand. It is important for me to have information!

I tryed many product on my face, then she measured my skin Balance Water/Oil. Result: My skin lacks water! I knew it !"

So what product did you buy finally?

"I finally choosed a oil free skin care: Ultra Facial Oil free Cream by Khiels.

First of all, I needed only water for my face, then i liked the gel texture and also because it is Summer I really liked the freshness when applying it on my face.

With advices, I also decided to clean my face everyday with the Ultra Facial  Oil Free Cleanser.

It is a bit early to say, but yes I start to like this brand! Thanks to numerous samples they gave to me, I really appreciate the Oil Free Tonic Lotion and I will definetly buy it later!"

Now, as a beauty advisor I know that Men don't care about packaging, don't really like strong perfume in their skin care and want information even if they already looked on internet opinions about each of those products. Muchas Gracias Amigo !
